DS and PSP be damned — if you happen to be in Korea, that is. Looking a bit like a D307 on performance-enhancing substances, Samsung’s new SCH-B450 is designed with entertainment in mind, and it’s packing enough tech to make the 2-megapixel camera possibly the least interesting feature of the device. Frankly, the spec sheet is a bit overwhelming: you get TV-out, A2DP, a motion sensor for Wii-like interaction, a game-friendly keypad, 3D acceleration, S-DMB reception, Immersion’s VibeTonz, and that clever (yet frighteningly fragile-looking) dual hinge design. The B450 is sadly destined for Samsung’s home market only, but we can always pick up a D307 and play make-believe, right?

Last night Germany lost ot Italy in the first semi-final. I never thought’d I say this, but I actually wanted Germany to win. I am now hoping for a France - Italy final. But first France have to beat Portugal. We all know who plays for them. Yes, little Ronaldo. He dribbles, he rushes, he begs, he winks, he scores. Brazil has its own Ronaldo and they only wished he would dribble, rush, beg and score. Ronaldo was a little on the lazy side this World Cup and the internet wouldn’t be the groundbreaking medium it is if it did not take the piss with a little game called Run Ronaldo Run.

Footie, Football and Soccer. All three words are synonymous with what has come to be called - ‘The Beautiful Game’. For indeed it is beautiful when the time comes around for some international extravaganza, such as The World Cup, because it’s when you can assert your right to not do the dishes, wash the car, walk the dog or watch Desperate Housewives because you did not do one or more of the previously mentioned ‘labours of love’. No, you’re excused to be whisked off with your buddies to your nearest local, only to mysteriously re-appear many hours later somewhat inebriated - even if your team just won - oh - even better! In the meantime though, in the run-up to what may be an early Xmas this year, we should temper our enthusiasm from behind our screens with some good old footie (soccer) gaming. Luckily for us, we need not look far as we’ve found StudsUpSoccer - for those of us who’d like a bit of Ice Hockey thrown in to the mix. For the aficionado, and we believe them to be visiting more often than they care to admit, we’ve found some lovely ladies from Brazil that are warm and welcome … umm … to your score-ability.
